Biography
A native of Columbus, Ohio, Margot Hayward has been playing the harp for sixteen years. She is a dynamic and charismatic performer, equally at home performing solo music, chamber music, and orchestral repertoire.

Margot holds a Master of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with world renowned and critically acclaimed soloist, Yolanda Kondonassis. Margot also attended the University of Michigan, where she earned a Bachelor of Music degree and studied with esteemed pedagogue, Dr. Lynne Aspnes. Fortunate enough to attend one of the last summers of the Salzedo Harp Colony in Camden, Maine, Margot was able to study with the legendary Miss Alice Chalifoux. Other studies have included private lessons and master classes with Jeanne Chalifoux, Jeanne Norton, Paula Page, Joan Holland, Jude Mollenhauer, Alice Giles, Doug Rioth and Judy Loman. Margot is a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy.

Margot's orchestral experience includes performances with Opera Cleveland, the Youngstown Symphony, the Erie Philharmonic, and the Midland, Flint, Saginaw Bay and Ann Arbor Symphonies. Ms. Hayward has also performed with such artists as Roberta Flack, Lou Diamond Phillips, and the Manhattan Transfer. Festival activities have included the International Festival-Institute at Round Top and the Ohio Light Opera.
