Margot Hayward, Harpist
Private Lesson Instruction
Ms. Hayward maintains an active private teaching studio in Cleveland, Ohio. She is an experienced teacher, with six years of private lesson instruction as well as four summers teaching private lessons, orchestral sectionals, beginning harp classes and harp ensemble at the prestigious Interlochen Arts Camp. Margot has also directed many harp ensemble classes, orchestral sectionals and master classes for the Michigan Youth and MPulse programs of the University of Michigan School of Music, Theater, and Dance.
All ages and backgrounds are welcome to contact Margot to begin harp lessons. Though some piano experience is recommended for beginners, it is not required.

Required items necessary for progressive training:
- Harp (preferably concert tension pedal or lever harp)
- Music Stand
- Appropriate/Adjustable Bench
- Tuning Key
- Sheet music - purchased by the student/parent, as assigned in class
- Practical “Harp Shoes” (for pedal harp - must be worn for every lesson and should not be worn outside)
Congratulations to student Olivia Harris on her successful audition into the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra! Olivia will appear as COYO's second harpist for the 2007-2008 season.
